The Bluffs

Interviw with Mr. Ted Rhodes

By Sam Biscaro, Jackson Carbajal, Nicole Pearce, Nadirah Porter, Luis Yani

The Bluffs are located in Carpinteria, California, just off Bailard Avenue. The Bluffs are an open space that the citizens of Carpinteria helped buy. Teachers take their students to the Bluffs to learn about animal and plant life. People go there to walk their dogs, ride their bikes or just to look around. No motor vehicles are allowed on the Bluffs.

There are many sites to see and many places to walk around at the Bluffs and that's why they're special. One of the places to see is the Seal Watch, which is a close neighbor of the Bluffs.

Many artists paint pictures at the Bluffs. You can take art classes at the Bluffs by famous artists. We think that the Bluffs are the best place to go and hang out. The picture of the Bluffs on this page was painted by a Main School teacher Mrs. White.

"If you are willing to work hard enough and you really believe in something you can make a difference. You can make the world a better place to live." ...... Ted Rhodes

To date, the bluffs have received over $1.5 million in grant money.

Mr. Rhodes has been the leader in helping the people of Carpinteria to buy the bluffs. To learn more about Mr. Rhodes visit our other interview with him at: Carpinteria Valley Leaders!
