Main School's Peer MediatorsBy: Grayson Arango
This year like many years before our school's peer mediators help the Main School community. The peer mediators solve as many of the student's problems that they can. Main School has been doing this program for 5 years. Students who take part in this program have a very useful skill for the rest of their lives. You can tell that the students who give their time to this program really enjoy themselves. Peer Mediators are very important to Main School because they help to solve our problems on the playground. The mediators have a big responsibility and a hard job. They deserve a lot of thanks for giving up their recess to help us with our conflicts on the playground. When we need help resolving our conflicts we can always look for peer mediators. They are easy to find in their red shirts and red visors. Another thing the peer mediators do is to search for students to receive a PRO award. What is a PRO award you ask? The PRO award stands for People Respecting Others. Peer mediators look for students respecting playground rules, helping others, and setting a good example on the playground. It is what being a dolphin is all about! |
