Linden Avenue from the Air -- Part III

Carpinteria from the air.
Carpinteria from the air.
Here is the first picture taken from the plane while they were flying over Carpinteria. These pictures were taken from 1,000 feet up, going 100 miles per hour. In this picture you can see some farms in the foreground, and the Carpinteria salt marsh on the right. The freeway (US 101) and the railroad tracks split off in the middle of the picture, making a V. Carpinteria is the area past that V, where you can see lots of smaller buildings. This picture was taken with a digital camera.

Here is a picture from out over the ocean, looking toward Linden Avenue. The big green area is the State Beach Park, and the big white buildings just past the park are the warehouses by the railroad tracks.

This picture shows Linden Avenue looking toward the ocean. Carpinteria Avenue is the street running left to right at the bottom of the picture. You can see the State Beach Park near the ocean, and the big white warehouses just before that. Closer to the camera, the white building with the large parking lot next to Linden Avenue is the Vons store.

This picture was taken from the airplane. You can see the waves crashing in the ocean leading into Linden Avenue.

Here is a closer view of Linden Avenue, looking from the ocean toward the mountains. This picture was taken with a digital camera.

This is another picture taken of Linden Ave. from the air. You can see where the Seal Fountain is, between the Vons parking lot and Linden.

Here is a close view of Linden Avenue near the intersection with Carpinteria Avenue. The Vons parking lot is in the lower lefthand corner. The Seal Fountain is in the little half-circle-shaped plaza between Linden Avenue and the Vons parking lot. You can't quite see the fountain, because a palm tree is in the way. You can get a good view of the businesses along the far side of Linden.
